Laundry Customer Service Attendant (Part-Time, Weekend Shifts Needed)

Job Requirements

Bring a positive attitude, basic math skills, ability to handle cash register transactions, able to follow procedures, multi-task, work hard, communicate well, and maintain a neat and modest appearance.  You also need the ability to handle people and solve problems.  Some lifting will be required. English needed, and the ability to speak another language is a plus. 

Each Customer Service Attendant will receive paid, on-the-job training. 

Main Responsibilities

1. Customer Service – Help customers with all aspects of the Laundromat, and show them how to use the equipment. If they have problems you are there to solve them and offer any assistance. You will also be there to offer any advice on stain removal, and offer assistance to and from their car. In general, promote a friendly, personable atmosphere and sell the business.

2. Cleaning – You will be responsible for cleaning the store, bathroom and equipment on a daily basis. Customers expect a neat, clean place to come get their clothes clean. This is a critical element of having a successful laundromat and will need constant attention. 

3. Wash, Dry, and Fold (WDF) service – This service involves accepting customer drop-off laundry and then washing, drying and folding the customer’s clothes in a professional manner. You will be required to learn some stain removal techniques and present each customer with a quality finished product.
